Valvoline is preparing to expand its San Antonio footprint with a new quick-lube location planned for the intersection of Loop 1604 and Potranco Road, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).

The proposed 3,447-square-foot facility will be located at 1604 Loop & Potranco Road, San Antonio, TX 78253, and will feature a lube pit designed to provide the company’s signature drive-through oil change and preventative maintenance services.

Construction is scheduled to begin on January 11, 2027, with completion targeted for June 14, 2027. The project carries an estimated construction cost of $1.449 million.

The filing describes the development as a ground-up commercial building that will provide automotive maintenance services. The project is privately funded, with Madisons Market Ltd. listed as the property owner. HFA-AE, Ltd. is serving as the project’s design firm.

Valvoline operates hundreds of service centres across the United States, offering oil changes, battery replacements, fluid exchanges, tyre rotations and other preventative vehicle maintenance services.

What Now San Antonio reached out to the tenant for additional information regarding the new location, including its anticipated opening timeline. This article may be updated as more information becomes available.
