Corbin’s Q has rebranded its restaurant to Barlando at 6548 El Cajon Blvd in San Diego, with signage installed two weeks ago, owner Corbin O’Reilly told WhatNow.

The longtime neighborhood barbecue spot is shifting away from its traditional barbecue restaurant format toward a more bar-driven concept, with an emphasis on drinks, live entertainment, and a nightlife-oriented experience, according to the Mission Times Courier.

Barlando’s website offers a glimpse of the food offerings, describing “bold, smoky flavors of barbecue” served through items like wings, sliders, and other bar-friendly bites. The menu emphasizes smaller, shareable portions suited to a more casual, bar-oriented setting.

While the dine-in experience has evolved under the Barlando name, the original Corbin’s Q barbecue offerings remain available through the business’s catering operations, which serve larger-format meals such as pulled pork, tri-tip, and house-made sides, according to the website.

This rebrand reflects a broader shift in the surrounding area toward a more nightlife-oriented scene, owner Corbin O’Reilly told the Mission Times Courier, positioning Barlando as a concept designed to meet that demand.
