EōS Fitness, a high-value, low-price fitness chain, is getting ready to open a new location in El Cajon at 291 Fletcher Parkway.
The new gym will be located in the former home of Macy’s in the Parkway Plaza shopping center, according to the company’s website. While an exact opening date has yet to be announced, the location is expected to open in 2027 and will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week. An enrollment center is also planned for the site ahead of the grand opening. Customers can expect a full-service fitness facility with strength and cardio equipment, group fitness classes, personal training, and recovery amenities.
EōS Fitness continues to expand across California, with dozens of locations currently operating and several more in development. The El Cajon gym joins a growing list of California projects scheduled to open in 2027, including future locations in Santa Barbara, Canoga Park, Los Angeles, and Temecula. The company has also announced more than 50 locations that are currently opening soon or in the planning stages across its operating markets. The new El Cajon gym will strengthen the brand’s presence in San Diego County alongside its existing Sports Arena Boulevard location.
Founded to make fitness accessible to more communities, EōS Fitness focuses on combining affordable memberships with a wide range of amenities. The company says its mission is to create “loyal, lifelong fans and exercise practitioners” by offering a welcoming environment for members of all fitness levels. CEO Rich Drengberg began his career working in gyms as a teenager before helping grow the company into one of the country’s fastest-expanding fitness brands.
The El Cajon location is expected to offer many of the amenities found throughout the EōS network. Depending on the final buildout, customers may have access to free weights, strength and cardio equipment, group fitness classes, personal training, recovery spaces, basketball courts, pools, saunas, steam rooms, Kids’ Clubs, and other premium features available through select membership tiers.
