Fuego Sushi looks to be setting up its first location in Old Town. Eater reports the specialty caterer will soon take over a space formerly occupied by Tuetano Taqueria in Old Town Urban Market

Based in Chula Vista, Fuego Sushi was created by Chef Isaac Fernandez and has operated as a catering business serving private parties and corporate events since 2020.

While a menu for Fuego Sushi’s Old Town space has yet to be shared, the business currently serves sushi plates and platters in a variety of sizes. Their signature rolls combine Japanese and Mexican flavors, with options like the Baja Roll, topped with spicy tuna, cucumber, and cilantro, and the La Jolla Roll with spicy krab, shrimp tempura, cucumber and cream cheese.

Tuetano Taqueria is expected to continue service in Old Town Urban Market through the end of the month. Fuego Sushi will reportedly take its place in the food hall in Fall 2023. Get to know Fuego Sushi by following on Instagram
