Sinner Buns, a San Diego small batch cinnamon roll bakery, is hoping to eventually open a physical storefront as it continues operating through pre orders at 780 Hollister Street.
The business was founded and is operated by Daria Nadar and her partner Filipe Pazi, according to San Diego Magazine. Nadar, who is originally from Ukraine, had previous bakery experience in operations, wholesale, and baking before starting Sinner Buns. She began developing her cinnamon rolls during the pandemic and later held her first pop-up after building a following on social media, selling out of the rolls.
Sinner Buns officially launched in October 2025 before temporarily closing and reopening in April 2026. The bakery currently operates through pre-orders rather than as a conventional walk-in bakery, with customers placing orders online in advance. The company’s website says pre orders open once a week, with fresh baked buns available for pickup on Fridays and Saturdays.
The bakery’s signature buns are made with brioche dough, butter, brown sugar, and cream cheese frosting, along with other fillings and ingredients. Sinner Buns says its products are made to order and baked specifically for each pickup time, with no frozen dough. Orders are produced in limited quantities, and the bakery stops taking orders once it sells out for the week.
For now, customers pick up their orders at the business’s 780 Hollister Street location in San Diego. The company describes itself as a pre-order-only bakery and says it does not offer walk-ins yet. Each order is baked specifically for the selected pickup day and time window.
Looking ahead, Nadar hopes to expand Sinner Buns beyond its current pre-order model. San Diego Magazine reports that she would eventually like to offer nationwide shipping and open a physical storefront, though neither plan has happened yet.
