A recently approved business license indicates that iScream, a “quirky little ice cream shop featuring classic and creative flavors,” is opening its second spot in Berkeley.

In addition to its location at 1819 Solano Avenue, the shop will take over 1511 Shattuck Avenue C, joining the Epicurious Garden food court alongside Darband, Kirala 2, Mexicana, SunnySide Cafe, and Tigerlilly.

In line with its original location, iScream on Shattuck will offer a selection of homemade organic ice cream that rotates seasonally. Some flavors include honey lavender, Mexican chocolate, ginger orange — a new addition, made using candied ginger — and, for adults, Jameson Irish coffee. iScream spokesperson Chris Perry tells What Now San Francisco that the only ingredients used that aren’t organic are the Oreos in the cookie flavor, an indispensable favorite.

The new location will sell ice cream manufactured at the Solano Avenue location, and ice cream cakes will also be added to the menu.

iScream on Shattuck is slated to open by spring 2023.
