Mixt is targeting a mid-July debut for its forthcoming restaurant on 1105 S California Boulevard, Walnut Creek, according to company representative Leslie Silverglide. The founder of the Certified B Corporation confirmed to WhatNow that the new location will offer both indoor and patio seating, as well as pickup and delivery through the MIXT app.
Founded in San Francisco in 2006, MIXT has built its reputation around fresh, sustainably sourced ingredients and made-from-scratch menu items. The company specializes in chef-driven salads and grain bowls designed to make healthy eating both convenient and flavorful.
The Walnut Creek restaurant will launch with MIXT’s summer menu, featuring returning favorites such as the Peachy and Elote salads alongside the new Valkyries 2.0 salad.
The Peachy combines mixt greens with buttermilk crispy chicken, grilled corn, peaches, cornbread crumble, pickled red onions, carrots, and sriracha ranch dressing, finished with a maple barbecue drizzle. The Elote features butter lettuce, cabbage, grilled chicken, grilled corn, cherry tomatoes, cotija cheese, avocado, pumpkin seeds, jicama, scallions, and lime crema dressing topped with Tajín. Meanwhile, the Valkyries 2.0 includes romaine hearts, cabbage, blackened chicken, radicchio, watermelon, feta, Kalamata olives, pickled red onions, cucumbers, preserved lemon mint vinaigrette, and walnut dukkah.
In addition to its food offerings, the restaurant will feature a custom art installation from a prominent local artist. Additional details, including final opening celebrations and the artist behind the restaurant’s featured artwork, are expected to be announced ahead of the mid-July debut.
