The former Casa Patron restaurant in Seattle could soon welcome a new concept. A recently filed Washington State liquor license points to El Cantor Mexican Cuisine opening at 805 NE 65th St.

The application lists licenses for a spirits, beer and wine restaurant lounge, a service bar, and premixed cocktails and wine to-go. The business is registered under the names of Agustin Garcia, Domingo Garcia, Maria Garcia, and Nathaly Trujillo.

Casa Patron announced on social media in December 2025 that it was temporarily closing for changes. The restaurant has remained closed since then, and El Cantor Mexican Cuisine is now listed at the same address.

Few details about El Cantor Mexican Cuisine have been released. Based on the business name and liquor license application, the concept appears to be a full-service Mexican restaurant.

What Now Seattle reached out to El Cantor Mexican Cuisine and will update this story as more information about the concept, menu, and opening date becomes available.
