Natural Care is preparing to open a second cannabis retail store at 136 Stewart Road SE, Suite 1E, in Pacific, according to a recent Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board license application.

Owner Justin Meyer told What Now Seattle he currently operates Natural Care’s first location at 4001 Pacific Ave. S., Suite B, in Tacoma, and the new store will expand the family-owned business.

The project is currently awaiting a conditional use permit from the City of Pacific, and an opening date has not yet been announced

Meyer said he first entered the cannabis industry through medical cannabis after seeing how cannabis could provide an alternative to traditional pharmaceuticals for people seeking relief.

“I got into the industry when it was medical a long time ago to help people who needed an alternative to pharmaceuticals,” Meyer said. “I saw how cannabis could actually help people take a different path, and that’s how I came up with the name Natural Care.”

The decision to open a second location in Pacific was equally personal. Meyer said he spent years working nearby before opening his first store and always believed the area would be a good fit for a cannabis retailer.

The opportunity came after the City of Pacific began allowing licensed cannabis stores and he was awarded one of the available licenses.

“I worked just a few blocks from this location for several years. I drove by it all the time and always thought it would be a great place for a cannabis store.”

Natural Care specializes in premium cannabis flower and pre-rolls sourced from trusted growers. For Meyer, the new store is also an opportunity to serve the communities where he grew up.

“I’m just happy that I get to serve the people from my community. I grew up around Sumner, Bonney Lake, and Puyallup, and those cities don’t allow cannabis stores. This location gives people in those areas another option nearby.”
