Tender Loving Empire plans to open a second store at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), according to the Port of Seattle.
Co-founder Brianne Mees told What Now Seattle that the shop will become the company’s second location at SEA and its eighth store overall across Portland and Seattle.
Tender Loving Empire’s existing airport store is in the N Concourse. The Port lists the future shop as space CT-07 but did not provide an opening date or a construction schedule for the location.
Brianne and Jared Mees founded Tender Loving Empire in Portland in 2007. The retailer sells gifts, apparel, home goods, food, art, and music from independent makers.
The expansion follows the June opening of the company’s first street-level Seattle store at 1524 First Ave., near Pike Place Market. What Now Seattle reported on the location in May.
The Port announced Tender Loving Empire as part of a larger group of new shops and restaurants coming to SEA. Construction will happen in phases, with work on some spaces expected to begin in 2027.
