Located in the Venice Village shopping center, at 4187 S Tamiami Trail in Venice, the space formerly occupied by Rib City will soon get a new life as a locals-facing neighborhood bar. Salty Neighborhood Bar & Grill is planning a September/October opening in the space, owner Edwin Morales told What Now on Tuesday.
“It’s going to be regular American food, salads, appetizers, pork chops and chicken chops by the pound with your choice of sauces,” said Morales. “Plus specialty burgers: brisket mixed with ground beef. There will be some fusion in there, as well: Cuban sandwiches, Cuban steak sandwiches.”
The space will feature a 30-seat U-shaped bar, 13 65-inch TVs, and ice-cold beer—and, after all, what more does a person need?
“We’re looking forward to getting open,” Morales said. “It’s going to be a neighborhood bar, welcoming locals, and our snowbirds, of course. It’s going to be a great hangout.”
Opening in Venice Village, the Publix-anchored retail center on the northeast corner of the intersection with Jacaranda Boulevard, Salty Neighborhood Bar & Grill will join restaurants like Skillets, The Stand Trap, and Panera Bread.
