Haines City is currently awaiting the completion of Crossroads Village Center, a new mixed-use development in the works at the intersection of US-17 and US-27.
“Last year, the community celebrated the groundbreaking of the 400,000-square-foot shopping complex, anchored by Target — a major milestone in expanding retail and lifestyle options for residents on the east side of Polk County,” said an Instagram post published by Haines City earlier this year. “Now, even more recognizable brands are preparing to call Crossroads Village Center home.”
The retail portion of the development will be home to brands like Target, Panera Bread, Ross Dress for Less, and PetSmart.
With more than 1,500 locations across the country, plus additional locations in Canada and Puerto Rico, PetSmart is a constant favorite for all things pet related, from food and treats to supplies and health products. You’ll find products for dogs, cats, fish, birds, and reptiles, and you might even meet your new pet.
“We love pets, and we believe loving pets makes us better people,” says the PetSmart website. “That’s one of the many reasons we do Anything for Pets—because they will do anything for us. Anything for Pets is our commitment to pet parents, it’s how we do business and who we are as pet lovers. As the leader in pet care, we make our decisions based on how we can bring pet parents closer to their pets.”
According to Haines City’s post, the first opening at Crossroads Village Center will be by Target, in March 2027, with other retailers to open thereafter.
