The Chicago-based pizza brand has been serving customers for more than 50 years. The brother duo of Efren and Joseph Boglio brought their mother’s 200-year-old Italian pizza recipe to the city in 1974. They also helped pioneer the Chicago-style stuffed pizza.

As of now, Giordano’s runs 60 locations spread across 9 states and ships the pizzas throughout the country. It uses Wisconsin mozzarella, hand-picked Mendocino County tomatoes, and specially milled Minnesota flour, while preparing all recipes in-house without added nitrates, MSG, or fillers.

Chicago’s Best Pizza by NBC Chicago, along with recognitions from CBS Chicago, The New York Times, and Chicago Tribune, have shaped the pizza chain’s journey for the past five decades.

The latest opening hints at Giordano’s consistent growth while bringing a longstanding Chicago pizza tradition to the nation’s capital.
