Iron Chef Morimoto — AKA Momo San — has opened three Momosan Ramen and Sake restaurants in New York City, Seattle, and Waikiki. Now, he’s bringing his noodles and sake to San Jose, with plans to open the first California Momosan Ramen and Sake on Santana Row by the end of 2021, reports Hoodline.
The restaurant, which bills its menu as Japanese comfort food with a playful twist, should serve up its signature tonkotsu ramen, Tokyo chicken ramen, tantan, and Tsukemen bowls, along with a variety of beer, wine, and over twenty types of sake.
Momosan Ramen and Sake will be the latest of a handful of restaurants and retailers headed to Santana Row this year, including Vuori, Dumpling Time, and Hot 8 Yoga. And if all goes as planned, it looks like they’ll be open just in time for winter. And what’s better than a hot bowl of noodle soup when the temperatures drop?
