Woods Boss Brewing Co. will expand its presence in Denver’s Five Points neighborhood by taking over the vacant space adjacent to its current brewery and taproom. 9 News reported recently on the expansion efforts at the 2200 California St. business.

The brewery has applied for a brewpub license to utilize the property neighboring its current one. That space was formerly home to Carbon Cafe & Bar and Habit Doughnut Dispensary, which closed in 2022, and then briefly housed a taco restaurant.

Since opening in 2017, Woods Boss Brewing has aimed to provide a rustic and welcoming atmosphere with a variety of beers, including traditional and experimental brews. The joint is known as a vibrant community meeting place.

The brewery has a rustic taproom featuring a Redwood live edge bar and a woodsy, outdoor feel in the midst of the bustling Five Points scene. Woods Boss is open Mondays from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Tuesdays through Thursdays from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Fridays and Saturdays from 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm, and Sundays from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
