Coffee Dose, one of Orange County’s most sought-after coffee shops, is getting ready to make its San Diego debut in Encinitas at 162 S Rancho Santa Fe Road, Site A-40.
The company’s sixth location is set to open in The Ranch at Rancho Santa Fe, which is undergoing a restoration update, according to Retail Insight. Coffee Dose co-owner Jeni Castro tells What Now San Diego that she and her husband Oscar hope to open this location on June 1, 2025, offering therapeutic lattes, cold brew coffee, cheeky merch, and vegan/keto-friendly treats. The coffee shop has locations in Costa Mesa, Laguna Hills, Stanton, and Irvine.
Coffee Dose will sit at the corner of the building, next to Bamboo Garden Garden Wellness Center and across from Champagne French Bakery Cafe. Other restoration updates for the site include implementing outdoor communal patio space, enhanced landscaping, interior and exterior finishes, cohesive common areas for customers, and new design features such as upgraded lighting, a fountain, signage, and a courtyard gathering spot.
Considering how much foot traffic will come through the area daily, this will be an excellent location for the Orange County-based coffee company. Coffee Dose will surely become the go-to spot for any coffee needs. In addition to a variety of delicious coffee and morning snacks, the not-so-snobby coffee shop wants to remind its customers not to take everything so seriously, providing its guests with a playful environment that is sometimes considered not-so-friendly for children who can read.
“Our goal is to deliver high-quality caffeination with a side of humor,” according to Coffee Dose’s website. “We want to remind people not to take life so seriously, hence our cheeky branding and ‘naughty’ cups. Most third-wave coffee shops feel cold and pretentious, so we wanted to serve the same quality of coffee with a better, more inviting atmosphere. Coffee Dose makes specialty coffee more approachable and a lot more fun… and a lot more ‘French.’ Making SoCal a happier place, one Anti Bitch Serum at a time.”
