Chipotle is preparing to open a new site in Millington, at 8599 US Highway 51 N, according to Memphis and Shelby County Planning and Development.

Just off Highway 51 North and Veterans Parkway/West Union Road, Chipotle will be opening up shop along with a new Whataburger in an area of new development known as Forked River Commons.

Home of Kroger, Walmart Supercenter, the Glen Eagle and Mirimichi Golf Courses, the USA Stadium Complex and the Millington-Memphis Airport, the city boasts a population of nearly 11,000 and is growing steadily. It’s also just a scant 21 miles from Ford’s new Blue Oval City, sure to lend more opportunity to the area.

The new Forked River Commons development at Highway 51 North and Veterans Parkway is one of three large developments coming to Millington in the near future. The other two are known as The Astoria Project and Millington Farms. All three will bring new shopping, living, dining, lodging and entertainment to the once small town.

Chipotle offers customized burritos, burrito bowls, tacos, salads and quesadillas for in-house dining, pickup or delivery online and through its app.
