Construction first started on Sushi Hall, a new sushi restaurant expected to open in Lincoln Park, in early September of this year, which was a little later than the owners expected. Early social media posts from Sushi Hall announced a summer and then late summer opening. Currently, Sushi Hall plans for a fall opening, however no date has been announced.

Documents obtained by What Now Chicago indicate Sushi Hall has moved into the licensing process. The company filed an application with the City of Chicago just yesterday, November 17th. The application indicates the eatery will open at 2630 N Clark Street, Suite N.

Although Ringer did not respond for comment at the time of publication and Sushi Hall maintains a modest social media presence, posts from the eatery indicate Sushi Hall will offer an intimate and “interactive” dining experience. “Soon, you’ll be able to snag a spot at our ten-seat #sushi bar where you can chat with ou[r] chefs as they prepare the freshest sushi in Chicago for you,” shares a post from late September. The menu will be simple and straightforward, aiming to provide patrons only the freshest fish available.
