A South Broadway favorite may have closed, but the door opens for another company. La Forêt cocktail bar and restaurant will grace the former Beatrice & Woodsley space at 38 S. Broadway, according to The Denver Post

The concept is owned by duo Mike Huggins and Lenka Juchelkova, who are also known for their establishments Arvada Tavern, Union Lodge No. 1, and The Tatarian.

They assumed the property from Beatrice & Woodsley’s landlord after that business closed, and will be keeping the famous aspen trees that decorate the interior. La Forêt means “the forest” in French.

La Forêt’s menu will include game meat like duck and elk tenderloin, infused with a French twist, along with other delicious options. There will also be a chic cocktail menu with exciting creations to sip on.
