In December, Kelly Companies, a Southern California-based hospitality group, acquired Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery, Restaurant Magazine reports. The eatery chain, which was previously owned by SPB Hospitality, has five locations in the state.
Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery has been a cherished name in Colorado’s craft beer scene since the early 1990s. The brand was founded in Downtown Denver and has expanded to 17 locations across the country, including local outposts in Centennial, Highlands Ranch, Loveland, and Colorado Springs.
The eatery’s website shows a menu of hearty American grill dishes. There are a number of delicious starters, favorites like the Texas fire ribeye, lemon salmon, or Cajun pasta, and classic burgers, sandwiches, pizzas, and salads. Additionally, Rock Bottom brews its own beers on-site.
As part of the deal, the holding company also assumed ownership of Gordon Biersch, Seven Bridges, and Denver ChopHouse. The brands join the growing portfolio of Kelly Companies’ restaurant roster, which its website shows also includes Ragtime Tavern, Claim Jumper, Champps, Lucky Bastard Saloon, and more.
