Buddy’s Pizza is on a roll with expansion in the Ann Arbor and Detroit areas. With five new locations planned to open in the next year, Buddy’s will have more than 20 outposts in the state.
The first to open will be coming to Michigan Stadium. Next up, slated to open when basketball and hockey seasons start, will be Crisler Center and Yost Ice Arena, both of which are in Ann Arbor.
Canton will also be seeing a new Buddy’s opening in late October 2023. Lastly, Wayne County Airport is slated to see a new outpost in the first half of 2024.
The locations will have the same Buddy’s vibe and menu, but with some unique twists. Michigan Stadium will show off the Buddy’s spirit alongside a fitting environment for sports fans. Crisler Center will be set to keep that original Buddy’s spirit but show off a bit of a Michigan twist.
The Canton location is slated to “showcase the industrial side of the city and bring it to life all while maintaining Buddy’s way,” Chief of Operations Joe Dominiak shared with What Now Detroit.
Dominiak said they are in the pre-construction and permitting phase of the Wayne County Airport location, so the opening date and exact layout are still unknown.
“We want to reflect the roots of Detroit at this location,” Dominiak said.
Dominiak shared his love for the Buddy’s brand and noted the company’s goal: “When a customer comes in we don’t want them to feel like they are at any other location, we want it to feel like their Buddy’s. We want Buddy’s to be everyone’s pizza.”
