According to a recently submitted permit application, the national chain GEN Korean BBQ House plans to debut a new outpost in San Antonio.
Coming to 7514 S New Braunfels Avenue, Suite 3A, the eatery will land near establishments such as BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse, Dave’s Hot Chicken, and Pluckers.
The filing shares that the “interior finish-out of an existing first-generation shell building to accommodate a GEN Korean BBQ restaurant” is scheduled to begin on June 2 and finish in December. For an estimated $800,000, the project will be carried out by Dallas-based firm The Dimension Group.
For readers unfamiliar with the concept, Gen Korean BBQ House is an all-you-can-eat Korean barbeque chain founded in Tustin, California, in 2011.
“From our boundless menu options consisting of freshly prepared meats, seafood, and vegetables, to our refreshing & traditional Korean ban-chan (side dishes), you will experience a wide array of complex flavors that will truly give your palate a new perception of taste,” the eatery shares on its website.
What Now San Antonio spoke briefly with the chain’s CEO, David Kim, but he could not provide additional information before publication.
An opening date has not been announced yet, so follow GEN Korean BBQ House on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
