Hotter weather is bringing a fresh new dining concept to North Dallas diners, hungry for fine Italian cuisine. La Stella Cucina Verace is preparing to breathe new life into a space that long housed a steakhouse, reports Culture Map Dallas.

The 14655 Dallas Parkway storefront will be the second location for La Stella Cucina. The 11,000 square foot space was occupied by Lawry’s The Prime Rib for 40 years; while the new tenant won’t be as beef-centric as Lawry’s, it does intend to offer more steak options than La Stella’s original location.

Co-founder Giuseppe “JP” Piccinini explains that one of the great allures of the new space is its sprawling architecture, however the building was not, initially, available. Fortunately, patience won out in the long run. He says: “We’d expressed interest but they had another concept that was supposed to go into the space. We looked at Plano and Frisco but we were hoping to find a location that was ready to go. When the initial tenant at Lawry’s fell through, the landlord called and we grabbed it.”

A precise opening date is not yet available, however DFW diners won’t have to wait too much longer to enjoy authentic and lovingly crafted Italian favorites. La Stella Cucina will begin greeting guests this summer.

Dallas diners who can’t wait to sample the concept’s fare can stop into the restaurant’s existing location at 2330 Flora Street, #150.
