Lip Sync Cocktail Lounge, a queer- and woman-owned bar and restaurant, is expected to open in Church-Wellesley Village in Summer 2026.
Natalie Chuck founded Lip Sync as a mobile cocktail service offering private events, pop-ups, and cocktail classes. The new permanent location will include a cafe, bar, and restaurant, with programming focused on the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. The concept aims to provide a welcoming, casual space for locals and visitors. Chuck has lived in the Village for several years and has long envisioned a permanent home for Lip Sync.
The drink menu will include cocktails, natural wine, craft beer, and non-alcoholic alternatives. Non-alcoholic options will receive the same attention to detail as the standard beverage offerings. The rotating cocktail list will highlight local ingredients and creative pairings.
The menu will feature Jamaican-Chinese and West Indian dishes and vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and pescatarian options. The menu is designed to reflect the owner’s cultural background while catering to a wide range of dietary needs. Dishes will be available as share plates, focusing on bold flavours and seasonal ingredients.
Lip Sync will offer weekly programming, including Wine Wednesdays, Thursday open mic nights, and Sunday cabaret evenings. Fridays and Saturdays will feature regular cocktail lounge hours. The venue will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Daily programming will run from morning cafe service through late-night food.
Due to lease issues, Chuck tells What Now Toronto that the opening has been delayed until summer 2026. Chuck is continuing to consult on menus for other restaurants across Toronto. Lip Sync will also maintain its presence through pop-ups and private events in the lead-up to the official opening. Those interested can follow along with their journey with the pop-ups via Instagram.
