Elm Coffee Roasters is coming back under new ownership and possibly a new look.

It was recently reported by Eater Seattle that the coffee shop at 240 2nd Avenue Suite 103 is closing temporarily, and is to open with four new owners. These owners are Alex Sciarotta from Narrative Coffee, Josh Modisette, Brandon Paul Weaver from Gloom Coffee and Nathaniel Reppert from Narrative Coffee. The coffee shop is currently in the transition process.

The business was started by Brendan Mullally who was born and raised in Seattle. He opened his first coffee shop in New York City called Joe Pro Shop before coming back to Seattle in 2013 to start Elm Coffee.

“We couldn’t imagine a better group to carry on what we have started here,” said the Instagram post. They added the new team will “shine up the place.”

According to the article, it was just sold, and it will be reopening in about a month. There are not yet updates on what changes will come to the location.

While selling coffee in house, they also have a website selling coffee bags. They also sell their “Big Day Out Instant Coffee.” The business partners with other producers and importers to bring in coffee.

What Now Seattle has reached out to the new owners, and this article may be updated.
