Riley’s Fish & Steak, a Michelin-recommended restaurant in downtown Vancouver, is preparing to open a new location in Toronto at 155 Wellington St W.
The company’s second location is set to move into the former home of The Shore Club behind the Ritz-Carlton, according to Streets of Toronto. Glowbal president Emad Yacoub tells What Now Toronto that the structure of the space will remain intact, but it will undergo a complete $5 million renovation to reflect a Prohibition Era aesthetic. As part of the update, a stage cove has been added to support nightly live music. The new Riley’s Fish & Steak is expected to open in January 2026.
The restaurant offers a refined menu that blends prime steaks with West Coast seafood. Highlights include the King Chilled Seafood Tower, featuring an array of shellfish, and the Smoked Salmon & Caviar Potato Rosti. Other standout dishes are the Crab Louie Salad and Wagyu Beef Carpaccio, showcasing high-quality ingredients and precise culinary techniques. The restaurant’s inclusion in the Michelin Guide reflects its commitment to exceptional food and service.
“There will be seafood towers, beautiful crab cakes with all crab,” Yacoub tells Streets of Toronto. “For lunch, there will be lobster Po’ Boys and big salads, lobster pot pies, and tableside options like prime rib served throughout the day. “We’re going to have this mix, but it won’t feel like a steak house. We’re working on the new menu, so there will be more fish, more shareable dishes — lots of things we’re not doing in Vancouver right now. Hopefully, once we finish the menus, we’ll bring them back to Vancouver.”
Riley’s is part of the Glowbal Restaurant Group, a Vancouver-based hospitality company founded by Yacoub. Since its inception in 2002, the group has launched several successful dining concepts across the city. These include Glowbal, Coast, Italian Kitchen, Black+Blue, and The Roof. With Riley’s, Glowbal continues to expand its presence in the premium dining segment, reinforcing its role as a major player in Vancouver’s restaurant scene.
