Great Divide Brewing Co. is exploring a bold new idea for a beer brand: adding padel courts. Naked Denver reports that a recent concept plan submitted to the city by the business outlines plans to renovate its 1812 35th Street property to add tennis-squash play areas.

The project entails modifying part of the 65,000-square-foot facility in RiNo, home to its brewing production and Barrel Bar, to accommodate new padel courts. It details two options: either 12 (six indoor and six outdoor) or 11 (five indoor and six outdoor) courts

City records show that there is a concept plan currently under review and a project master plan in progress. Both have Adam Harding, from Roth Sheppard Architects, listed. Not much other information is publicly available.

This is the latest move for Great Divide under its new ownership, Wilding Brands. Last month, What Now Denver covered the news that the Colorado beer staple had been acquired by the beverage conglomerate. A Lafayette-based craft drink collective, Wilding has also recently added the Denver Beer Co. brand to its roster.
