A good street-food-meets-ice-cream spot is coming soon to Hamtramck.

Boostan Restaurants owner Farhan Al Najar is planning a choco taco shop next to one of the Boostan Restaurant locations at 3468 Holbrook. This will be separate from the restaurant. There is not an estimated date of opening yet.

There is not a name for the choco taco location right now, but it will be managed by Al Najar. Right now, the choco tacos are to be the main attraction on the menu.

Many already know the delectable choco-tacos that have been sold at many food trucks, but for those who don’t know it is a waffle cone in the shape of a taco shell, filled with ice cream, fudge and other chocolate inside. It has become popular in cities like Los Angeles and Chicago, and is even sold at grocery stores.

The other Boostan Restaurants locations is in Detroit at 5101 E McNichols Road. Both offer Mediterranean food, skewers with chicken, lamb, along with chicken shawarma, sub sandwiches and sides like curly fried and grilled vegetables.  company was planning another location in Bay City last year, but for undisclosed reasons this fell through.

Al Najar told What Now Detroit more information will follow in the coming weeks.
