New Texas Best BBQ Restaurant Coming To Conant Gardens

A new BBQ restaurant is set to open on the north side of the city soon.

Texas Best BBQ and Wings is set to open in three weeks at 18035 Conant near the corner of E Nevada Street. This is a walk-in BBQ restaurant that has been in the works for about a year. Following remodeling and setting up the kitchen, it is ready to be showcased to the community. 

The manager of the restaurant, Deshawn Blair, told What Now Detroit the menu will consist of ribs, turkey legs, half smoked brisket and other smoked barbeque options. There are also sides like green beans, macaroni and cheese and potato salad. He added the business emphasizes “quality over quantity.”

“Everything is going to be slow cooked and tender,” Blair said.

The hours of operation listed on Google are 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and 10 a.m.-5 pm. On Sunday. Inside the restaurant, there is a register to order and a kitchen in the back. When contacted, the owner Myron Dham said the space is carry out only right now.

In the area the business is setting up shop, there are not many other barbeque options. There is only Nunn’s Bar-B-Cue II, also on Conant, 75 South BBQ and Os Burger Bar. The team at Texas Best hopes to fill this market.
