New Lenox may soon be getting a wine bar on the south side of town.
According to the Village of New Lenox website, Ace & Vine will be at 832 W Laraway Road. As of now, the opening date is yet to be determined. It will be a wine bar with “video gaming.” Other Ace & Vine locations are listed as having slots and poker inside, and the New Lenox spot may follow the same theme.
The owner is listed as Taho Shuaipaj. He was also the operator of the Intimo Lounge bar in Tinley Park, which closed in 2021. According to the Illinois Secretary of State Business Search, Shuaipaj is operating more Ace & Wine locations around the state in Lemont, New Lenox, Frankfort, Romeoville and Minooka.
New Lenox is not home to many other wine bars. There is Cooper’s Hawk along Lincoln Highway, but other wine bar establishments are in neighboring suburbs like Joliet or Frankfort.
The new wine bar will be in a plaza between Pizza Mia! New Lenox and Gina’s Teardrop Cafe. According to the Village of New Lenox Community Development Department, there are still parking spaces to be added to the lot. There have been no updates on construction as of yet.
