The company offering kava drinks and coffees is bringing their newest location to Ann Arbor
Kava Culture Toledo has been advertising their new location on social media, set to open in Ann Arbor at 332 Maynard Street. Right now, there is a sign in front of the business that reads “coming soon.” It is being introduced by the owners of the Toledo location.
Kava Culture has franchised locations all around the country, and the new Ann Arbor spot will be the company’s first Michigan location. It was first announced in March that the Ann Arbor shop was in the plans. An opening date has not yet been announced, but right now construction is happening inside the building.
Chris Kaminski who owns the Toledo Kava Culture will be opening the new Ann Arbor one. It is set to have a similar menu to the other shops, with “secret” menu items that will be announced at a later time.
Kava is a plant that is added to teas and other drinks, and is known to make people more relaxed or help their nervous systems. Their drinks come with kava in fruit-mixes, and the bars also serve boosted cocktails. A few of their locations serve taps and flights from Botanical Brewing Company, a non-alcoholic brewery.
The sign indicates the shop will be open daily 8 a.m.-2 a.m., and there will also be live music. It is being built on the west side of Maynard Street, across from Comet Coffee. Kava will also be sharing the building with Frank’s Restaurant diner.
