Japantown’s Authentic Korean Food Shutters
Located on Post Street in Japantown, the restaurant has been serving customers since 2019. Daeho Kalbijjim and Beef Soup offered the finest Korean cuisine, culture, and experience, which has led to overwhelming success. The menu included traditional dishes such as Suyuk, a beef bone soup with chives and mushrooms, and Daeho Kalbi Tang, a rib soup with abalone and shrimp.
In a brief Instagram post, Daeho Kalbijjim announced, “Our SF Japantown location will be temporarily closed until further notice. Thank you for your understanding!”
About the Restaurant
Daeho Kalbijjim traces its roots to 1957, when the family opened Kangnam in Incheon, South Korea. Driven by a passion for food, the founders moved to the United States in 1990 and have been running various Korean restaurants in San Francisco for over 30 years.
The restaurant has expanded to locations in San Francisco, Milpitas, San Mateo, Las Vegas, Bellevue, and Concord, with plans for Austin and Honolulu.
The official announcement has not mentioned any reason for its temporary closure. Daeho Kalbijjim has also not specified when the restaurant will reopen.
