Citizen Public Market Bids Adieu

The food hall nestled in the iconic 1929 Beaux Arts building shared on Instagram that it will close for good on November 2, 2025. Citizen Public Market will say its final goodbye after five years of service in Culver City. The farewell post did not provide a specific reason for the closure.

The post highlighted the market’s five years at 9355 Culver Blvd., noting milestones celebrated alongside its tenants. Go Go Bird, Uoichiba, Bar Bohemien, Benevento, Jikoni, Sustainabowl, and Smokey Chance are the current occupants of Citizen Public Market.

Over the past five years, the market has offered a variety of cuisines through its vendors. Citizen Public Market looks forward to serving guests in the final few weeks before its departure.

Rooftop Bar Bohemien to Continue Operations

While Citizen Public Market prepares to close, its rooftop tenant Bar Bohemien will stay open. Bar Bohemien will keep serving L.A. residents despite the food hall shutting its doors. Events booked on the rooftop beyond October will still take place.

Although the closure marks the end of a popular dining destination, Bar Bohemien’s continued service offers some continuity for L.A. diners.
