The Fort, the iconic adobe-style restaurant in Morrison, is entering a new chapter after more than six decades of family ownership. The current owner announced on the brand’s social media recently that they are in talks to sell the famous eatery, located at 19192 CO-8.
“On September 1, 2025, The Fort entered into a purchase agreement with Revesco Properties, with the intention to finalize the sale in January 2026. Revesco has partnered with City Street Investors, a Denver-based real estate and restaurant investment and development firm to steward The Fort’s legacy and ensure its continued success for future generations,” a post from Holly Arnold Kinney reads.
Kinney’s parents, Samuel and Elizabeth Arnold, established the eatery in 1963, its website explains. It’s designed as a replica of a 19th-century fur-trading post and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The restaurant serves Native American and mountain-inspired cuisine.
Revesco Properties is a local large-scale developer. City Street Investors is a development and restaurant group, known for partnerships at a number of Denver Union Station concessionaires and F&B favorites around the metro like Lowry Beer Garden, Cholon, and Edgewater Beer Garden.
City Street Investors’ Director of Marketing and Branding Kirsten Becker told What Now Denver that no renovations or menu changes are expected. A good portion of the current staff will also remain on board.
