Regulars of Willow Hill Restaurant will not have to wait long for the replacement concept to open.
Citizen Portal recently reported on Willow Hill Restaurant, 6678 Joliet Road, closing on Oct. 20 and reopening as Golden Century Cafe. This comes after a meeting the new owners had with the Village of Indian Head Park Board of Trustees. Co-owner Sandra Brasher told What Now Chicago there is not a reopening date, as renovations will be happening after the closure.
Right now, there is limited information on the menu. Willow Hills serves homestyle items like soups, bread rolls, omelets and pancakes. The menu is expected to be similar, with no items disclosed yet.
After the restaurant closes, renovations will happen inside including replacing carpeting, and painting. The inside has both tables and booths, with a private area for dining as well.
Willow Hill Restaurant has been around since 2004 and is at the Brookside Plaza shopping center near the corner of Joliet Road and Willow Springs Road. This is close to restaurants Uncle John’s Sports Bar & Grill, Roka Bakehouse and Rosati’s Pizza.
The current restaurant’s social media has made no official announcement about the closing and reopening. More information on the project will be released in the coming weeks.
