Memphis locals eager for their next great drink obsession will soon be able to quench their thirst. Poppz Drinks & Sweets is bringing the dirty soda trend, alongside a menu featuring salads, sandwiches, and cookies, to a new East Memphis location, and its grand opening is just around the corner, reports Daily Memphian.

The 4719 Poplar Avenue storefront will be a drive-thru and to-go location, a first-of-its-kind for Memphis. Locals may already know and love Poppz for its Shops of Carriage Crossing pop-up, which has been serving satisfied customers for the past year. A press release provided to What Now Memphis by owner Jennifer Purnell states that the concept will be offering: “fan favorites alongside an expanded menu — including POPPZ’s own cold brew coffee, hot coffee, made-from-scratch lemonade, grab-and-go foods, and new bakery treats.”

Those unfamiliar with the trend of dirty sodas can look forward to fizzy soft drinks combined with creams, syrups, and various flavor add-ins- ”Guests can mix and match sodas, lemonades, and iced teas with over 50 flavor add-ins — from coconut to blackberry, pineapple to lychee — plus creamy toppers and fresh garnishes.”

Memphis residents won’t have to wait much longer to sample Poppz’s unique treats; the establishment has scheduled its grand opening for November 1 and will be holding a soft opening event and a Community Fall Festival certain to delight future regulars on October 25. The day promises to be a memorable launch of a new neighborhood favorite and will include “giveaways, music, family-friendly activities, and of course—lots of POPPZ drinks.”
