Chicago Raw Foods, a longstanding staple of Chicago, announced its closure through a social media post. After 16 wonderful years, the final day of service for the cafe is November 30.
Chicago Raw Foods Shuts Down as November Winds Down
Located in the heart of W Huron St, Chicago Raw Foods offers freshly prepared raw vegan meals, salads, snacks, and spreads. The cafe also served a variety of coffee drinks and teas to complement its plant-based menu.
According to the official Instagram post, “Chicago Raw will officially close its doors on November 30.”
The cafe operators shared great appreciation and gratitude towards the kindness, support, and love it received from the community and praised the customers for “shared enthusiasm for healthy, plant-based food—has always been its true heart.”
At the end of the post, Chicago Raw Foods also announced that “a recipe book is on the way.”

After the announcement, loyal customers flooded social media and shared heartwarming stories and messages under the post.
“RAW helped me survive, and although I wasn’t a true regular, I was comforted in knowing you were always there,” wrote one of the customers.
Healthy Eatery Reinvents With Markets and a Recipe Book

Chicago Raw Foods assured fans this isn’t the end; its signature raw dishes will continue to be available at local markets. The cafe will share updates sooner about the new locations.
Before the farewell, the cafe is giving customers a chance to stock up on their favorite items. The cafe will be accepting orders for bulk items till November 20.
Bulk order items include raw desserts, dry snacks, muffins, garden burgers, granola, and the café’s popular almond and pizza crackers.
As the city bids farewell to one of its long-running healthy eateries, Chicago Raw Foods promised to reconnect with fans at local markets and continue serving its signature raw dishes.
