Pratham Patel, 24, is looking to bring an upscale sports bar concept to his hometown of Warner Robins by way of Tampa-based franchise The Brass Tap. Patel is planning to open the spot at 3151 Russell Parkway in late May.
Patel told What Now Atlanta that he wanted to open an upscale bar in Warner Robins after experiencing plenty of spots around Atlanta when he was getting his computer science degree at Georgia Tech.
“During my college years, I would go to lots of nice places around Atlanta. There are a lot of nice spots to watch games and hang out with your friends,” Patel said. “In my hometown of Warner Robins, we don’t have much of a social spot to go to with your family and friends. That’s how I got involved with The Brass Tap.”
The forthcoming bar will feature a 3,800-square-foot interior and an outdoor patio. The spot will seat about 180 customers and there will be an outdoor and an indoor bar.
The Brass Tap offers beers, a premium liquor selection, pizzas, burgers and shareables like quesadillas and nachos.
Patel is drawing inspiration from Atlanta hangouts, adding in upscale audiovisual features to enhance guest experience such as large LED video walls. Customers can expect a versatile atmosphere with plenty of events for the community such as trivia and karaoke nights.
“I’m taking the concept that Brass Tap provides and I want to take it to a higher level,” Patel said. “I don’t want to create a traditional bar or restaurant — I want this to be the spot.”
Construction is slated to begin in the next few weeks. There are existing locations for the franchise in Hapeville and Marietta.
Beef ’o Brady’s and Newk’s Eatery are part of the FSC Franchise Co. family alongside The Brass Tap. There is also a Beef ’o Brady’s location heading to Macon.
Moving forward, Patel wants to continue to explore opportunities across Georgia, including markets such as Columbus and Savannah.
“My long-term goal is to explore the rest of Georgia and come up with innovative ideas to further the franchise,” Patel said. “I want this brand to revolutionize the bar game.”
