Memphré, a Magog-based brewery, is opening a new microbrewery and pub in Orford at 2267 Chem. du Parc.
The company’s new location will take over the former Canton Brasse space on Chemin du Parc, according to Journal de Montreal. The Orford brewery is expected to open in March 2026, with on-site brewing starting in the weeks leading up to the launch. Customers can expect a selection of Memphré’s craft beers brewed in-house, along with pub-style food and a casual setting for lunch and dinner. Charles-Alexandre Pelletier, partner at Memphré, is leading the project.
Until now, Memphré brewed its beer in a small industrial facility in Magog that did not allow retail sales or customer visits. After the Magog lease ended, production shifted to the Ensemble brewing collective in Boucherville. The new Orford site will allow Memphré to resume production in the Eastern Townships, offering both on-site consumption and takeout options.
The Orford location will also serve as a laboratory for developing new beers, focusing on Quebec and local ingredients, according to Éric Noël, Memphré’s head brewer for 18 years. All beers available at the pub and under the Memphré brand will now be brewed on-site, while can production for grocery stores will continue through the Ensemble collective.
The pub will initially operate Thursday to Sunday, expanding to seven days a week during the summer. Beer will be available on-site and to-go, with the owners hoping customers arrive by bike or ski to enjoy the location’s outdoor offerings and proximity to Mont-Orford National Park. This will be an excellent landing space for Memphré, combining production, retail, and customer experience on a single site.
Pelletier also owns Des Cantons Microbrewery, Les Enfants Terribles restaurant in Magog, and Auberge des Cantons. The Orford expansion reflects the brand’s continued growth in the region and commitment to local craft brewing.
