A Little River restaurant is set to rebrand ahead of the upcoming season.

Makos Marina Bar N Grill, owned by Steve Martin, is transitioning to Markos On The Water, a coastal fine dining restaurant, with a new tiki bar set to open next door along the Intracoastal Waterway, according to the website.

“Makos offers a relaxed, coastal atmosphere where fine dining meets “flip-flops welcome,” perfect for locals, visitors, late-night bites, or boat-up dining.” the website reads.

A new menu is in the works, expected to feature chef-crafted favorites such as shrimp and grits, local flounder, fresh seafood, steaks and desserts.

The tiki bar, Shark Bar at Markos, will serve handcrafted, ice-cold and frozen tropical cocktails alongside light fare like pizza and flatbreads, bringing laid-back island vibes, waterfront seating and sunset-ready music to Little River’s shoreline.

The Sun News reported the tiki bar is expected to be completed by May, just in time for the World Famous Blue Crab Festival.
