A private, members-only social club is set to open in downtown Charleston this summer.

Tidewater, co-founded by Ryan Covert, will debut at 2201 Mechanic Street, Suite A as a space where work, social life and wellness come together under one roof.

“A place where you can move seamlessly from a workout to a meeting, from a casual drink to a night with friends. An extension of your home. An extension of your social life. This is TIDEWATER,” an Instagram post read.

MB Within Interior Design Studio is designing the club with a modern yet upscale atmosphere.

Tidewater will feature a cocktail bar, outdoor patio and a restaurant offering chef-curated bites from Asalea. The chef will host limited small dinner services and tastings. A Supper Club will also bring recurring dining events, chef experiences and pop-ups two to four times a month.

A full suite of amenities will round out the space, including a sauna, steam room, cold plunge, Trackman indoor golf simulators and outdoor pickleball courts.

Memberships are now open, and interested applicants can apply through the website.

Tidewater will host a Kentucky Derby preview party ahead of its grand opening, featuring live music from Reverse Cowgurl along with a preview of its small plates. The open bar will include beer from Over the Horizon Brewing, Surfside seltzers and Blade and Bow bourbon whiskey.

The club is slated to officially open in July.

Visit the Tidewater website and follow along on Instagram and Facebook for the latest updates.
