A healthy restaurant chain is continuing to expand in the city.
The owners of FARE have plans to introduce an additional location for 868 N Wells Street in the Old Town area. The brand already has multiple locations around Chicago and North Carolina. An official opening date has not been released, but it will debut sometime this summer.
Owners Kasia Bednarz and Britni de Leon started their business back in 2010 after they met working at a restaurant in the city. Their first location was at a food hall downtown, and the two have since seen success in the market. At their restaurants, they make a point of offering seasonal dishes throughout the year.
“Food isn’t just fuel, it’s a form of self care. A way to take care of yourself without overthinking it. That’s why we started FARE: to make eating well effortless, delicious, and something you actually look forward to,” says the description on their website.
FARE offers multiple menus, with an emphasis on bowls, plates and breakfast items. Their breakfast options include Greek yogurt parfait, an egg wrap and egg sandwich. The restaurants also serve smoothies, coffees and sweets like muffins and brownies, with many of the items being gluten-free.
The restaurant is coming to the west side of N Wells Street, close to Layla & Ringo’s cafe and DJ’s Great Room. This is at the base of a luxury apartment building, and is going in close to Petite Edith bistro, a popular French restaurant in the area.
What Now Chicago has reached out to the owners, and this article may be updated. As it gets closer to the opening, the owners will be releasing more information on the company Instagram @foodbyfare.
