New York-based restaurant operator Metro Franchising is preparing to open a new Dunkin’ Donuts location in Jacksonville. This week, What Now came across plan review paperwork submitted by Metro Franchising Commissary LLC for a new Dunkin’ at 8730 Baymeadows Rd, Suite 4.
As it happens, that’s the address of Meadows Village Plaza, a new retail center that will be anchored by this Dunkin’ location, according to coverage published by the Jacksonville Business Journal. It’s expected to offer “flexible space designed to attract both local entrepreneurs and national brands,” the coverage says.
Already a household name, Dunkin’ has gone viral recently with its 48-oz beverage buckets, which launched at select locations, and now, according to coverage by The Independent, it’s planning to roll them out nationwide.
“In February, the chain tested its Beverage Buckets, designed with a unique lid and straw, in several Massachusetts and New Hampshire stores. At the time, customers could receive a coffee bucket starting at $8.99, or a refresher for $9.49,” the coverage says. “Now, Dunkin’ plans to bring its largest drink size back to kick off Memorial Day Weekend… When customers order an iced coffee or refresher May 22, they can have it served in the 48-ounce bucket for $12.99.”
Opening in Meadows Village Plaza, Dunkin’ will join a restaurant community that includes brands like Karma Indian Restaurant, Mikata Buffet, Modu Ramen, Noom Thai Bistro, and more.
