Some serious barbecue is about to be on the menu in Fernandina Beach. Pirate Island Pizza and BBQ, a new mobile food spot, is preparing to open there, and from one look at the brand’s Facebook page, you can tell barbecue is taken very seriously here.

“This trailer is for BIG events,” says a post published to Facebook. “I can fit 90 pork butt which can feed upwards of 800 people. Santa Maria Grill to be installed soon which will give me the ability to reverse seared steaks. Smoked Ribeye finished over charcoal anyone? Limitless possibilities.”

What Now came across plan review paperwork showing the food truck opening at 22 S Eighth Street in Fernandina Beach, but it appears to have plans to roam.

What Now reached out on Friday to owner Llew Sutton to ask about plans for the Pirate Island Pizza and BBQ launch. (We’re definitely curious what will be on offer pizza-wise too!) Sutton was not immediately available for comment.

You can keep up with all things Pirate Island Pizza and BBQ by following the brand on Facebook.
