Slutty Vegan, an Atlanta-based plant-based burger chain, is getting ready to expand in Atlanta through a new franchise agreement that will bring another location to the city.
The company’s new Atlanta location will be operated by franchisees Khadejah Davis and Jamel Douglas, according to QSR Magazine. The pair became the first official Slutty Vegan franchise owners to open and operate a location in Atlanta as the company continues its franchising efforts. While an exact address and opening timeline have yet to be announced, customers can expect the brand’s signature plant-based burgers, sandwiches, fries, desserts, and specialty beverages.
The expansion marks an important step for Slutty Vegan as it continues growing in its home market. Founded by Pinky Cole Hayes in Atlanta in 2018, the company launched as a food truck before opening its first restaurant later that year. Since then, the concept has expanded beyond Georgia with locations in markets including Birmingham and Brooklyn while maintaining a strong presence in metro Atlanta.
Davis and Douglas bring previous restaurant ownership experience to the venture. The entrepreneurs currently own multiple Juici Patties franchise locations and have experience operating and scaling restaurant brands. Davis is also known for her work as a franchise coach and business strategist, helping aspiring entrepreneurs navigate franchise ownership and business growth.
The company says its franchising strategy was driven by increasing demand for the brand and a desire to partner with experienced operators. While the Atlanta franchise agreement represents the latest development in the company’s home market, Slutty Vegan has also signed an agreement to expand into Washington, D.C., where Brandi Forte will lead development efforts. The move reflects the brand’s broader national growth plans.
Slutty Vegan’s menu centers on plant-based comfort food, including the One Night Stand, Sloppy Toppy, Fussy Hussy, and Dancehall Queen burgers. Customers can also order vegan Philly-style sandwiches, loaded fries, churros, banana pudding, slushies, and lemonade. The concept has built a following by offering vegan alternatives designed to appeal to both plant-based diners and customers looking to try something different.
Hayes has remained at the forefront of the brand’s growth since its founding. The entrepreneur, philanthropist, and best-selling author recently joined the cast of The Real Housewives of Atlanta during the show’s 17th season, introducing the Slutty Vegan brand to a wider audience. As the company continues to franchise, Atlanta remains a key market for its continued growth and development.
