Bargain shoppers in the southwest suburbs of Boston will soon have a new place to stock up on everyday essentials.

Dollar Tree is preparing to open a new store at 30 Providence Highway in East Walpole. The retailer will take over the former Party City space at The Link (formerly the Walpole Mall), according to a recent social media announcement from the shopping center.

“Something new is rolling in,” the post reads. “Dollar Tree is coming very soon! Just in time to stock up on everything you need for the school year — notebooks, pencils, classroom must-haves, lunchbox treats, and so much more… all at unbeatable prices! 📚✏️🍎

Headquartered in Chesapeake, Virginia, Dollar Tree operates more than 9,000 stores across the U.S. and Canada, bringing affordable essentials and everyday finds to communities throughout North America.

The discount retailer carries a mix of national brands, private-label products, and an expanding selection of merchandise beyond its traditional $1 roots. Shoppers can find everything from household essentials and party supplies to seasonal décor, health and beauty products, snacks, frozen foods, pantry staples, and more.

An official launch date for the upcoming East Walpole location has not yet been announced, though The Link mentions that the opening is “just around the corner.”

Dollar Tree representatives told What Now Boston that additional details should be available next week, so keep an eye out for updates.
