Jersey Mike’s Subs could soon add another Denver location at a Safeway-anchored shopping center at 20th Avenue and Washington Street.
Plans submitted to the City of Denver call for renovations to the restaurant space at 757 E 20th Avenue, Suite 390, according to Naked Denver. The proposed work includes new walls, lighting, plumbing and kitchen equipment, along with updates to the dining room, service counter, food preparation area and beverage station.
Founded on the Jersey Shore in 1956, Jersey Mike’s has grown from a neighborhood submarine sandwich shop into one of the country’s largest fast-casual sandwich brands after Peter Cancro purchased the original store as a teenager in 1975 and began expanding the concept through franchising.
There is no exact indication of the opening date as yet.
