Jill Tindle already owns a jewelry store, and now she is adding a paper goods and gift shop to the list. Good Things Paperie, her second business inside Arden Fair Mall at 1689 Arden Way, is targeting a September 5 opening, Tindle confirmed to What Now Sacramento. The new business is expected to bring stationery, cards, gifts, and personalized paper goods to the mall.
Her first venture, Golden Circle, a permanent jewelry and custom handmade jewelry bar, opened at Arden Fair during a rougher stretch for the mall, when storefronts around her sat empty more often than not. Tindle has watched that change over the past year and a half, as new tenants have steadily filled those same gaps. Her own second shop is part of that same wave.
The push behind her is bigger than one shop. Mall spokesperson Nathan Spradlin told CBS Sacramento that Arden Fair’s turnaround has come from a multi-year effort to study what Sacramento shoppers actually want, rather than simply reacting to vacancies as they happen. That strategy has already reshaped the mall, with former Sears and Nordstrom anchor spaces now home to tenants like Restoration Hardware and Dick’s House of Sport.
