A popular Thai concept is helping to make autumn extra delicious for Falls Church diners this year. Dok Khao Thai is opening its fifth DMV storefront in the area, bringing authentic Southern Thai cuisine to the neighborhood, reports Arlington Magazine.

Dok Khao will be greeting customers at 180 W. Falls Station Boulevard. The location has been in development for some time now, however the restaurant, ably operated by Executive Chef Pornthipa “Pat” Pattanameka, is now on track to open its doors this fall.

Dok Khao currently has locations open and operational in Alexandria, Virginia, Chevy Chase, Maryland, Columbia, Maryland, and Woodbridge, Virginia. The restaurant is designed to capture the essence of Chef Pattanameka’s “Southern Thai upbringing and Bangkok café culture, each location offers authentic Southern Thai cuisine, handcrafted beverages, dine-in service, online ordering, and reservations.”

Guests can look forward to delicious dishes ranging from curries to salads to noodles. The website explains: “Rooted in harvest, season, and tradition, Dok Khao brings Thai cooking back to where it begins — the land, the market, and the family kitchen. Every dish is prepared with honest ingredients, respectful technique, and the quiet warmth of home.”
