Bakery/retail concept lands just in time for Bastille Day.
Atlanta can now get an everyday taste of Paris at Ponce City Market.
St. Germain opened in the food hall today, July 14 – otherwise known as Bastille Day.
Named after the upscale Parisian neighborhood, the bakery outpost will be helmed by Christine and Jean-Marc Metairie, the owners behind Morningside’s Atmosphere restaurant, alongside the duo’s business partner Heather Jourdan-Gassin.
In June, a source close to the project said that the team’s desire is to bring a piece of everyday Parisian life to Atlanta in a market environment, as opposed to a higher end restaurant.
Classic French pastries and baked goods, including croissants, baguettes and a selection of specialty breads will be baked and sold at St. Germain daily. The 400 square-foot stall will also house a gourmet market offering French imported food, kitchen linens and gifts for the kitchen, home and family.
